Thought this was okay. The shootout scenes were great but the shaky camera in many others didn’t make much sense to me given the period it took place, even if that makes no sense. Johnny Depp’s performance is really enjoyable. Christian bale was acting a bit too hard in this imo. But what do I know. Also was funny that Marion Cotillard couldn’t fully hide her French accent and it would pop up randomly in 1930s Chicago
Such a great lense into the culture of Georgia in the 70s. Southern rock, gospel, jazz, blues - probably the greatest generation of musicians and Carter was boys with all of them.
A very fun watch. Rene Russo you are so god damn hot. Whole film is very visually pleasing and enjoyed the twists albeit somewhat predictable at times. That blonde chick has the meanest RBF I’ve ever seen.
Fun fact my mom told me she saw this in theaters pregnant with me and told some guy it’s not his living room so stop talking and he proceeded to kick her chair and throw popcorn at her. Strange behavior!
