I'm Still Here 2024
Been a while since I've been excited for a film. After watching countless interviews and panels of this, I finally got to watch it and..... wow. There was so much emotion in Fernanda Torres' performance that I found myself holding my breath in some scenes. The pacing was perfect. No dull moment, and the use of 8mm shots coupled with the perfect sound choices?? Chef's kiss.
I really hope this wins big on Sunday. This film deserves all the recognition and love that it already has (and so much more). I'll be thinking about this a lot.

Waiting for Sunset 2018
Absolutely destroyed me. This is why I will always have a soft spot for Philippine Cinema. When written well, simple stories can produce the heaviest & longest lasting effects on the heart. Wow.
