A great watch, except the part where popcorn and a melted Twix bar was being thrown at me.
I did not know anything about this movie before watching it, other than knowledge on the main characters' names (the turtles, Splinter, and April O'Neil) so for the most part I did not know what to expect. I don't even think I knew this was an animated movie, but the animation style was a magnificent pairing to the feel of the movie.…

Only the second film so far that I have rated 5 stars, and both incorporate music heavily. I guess there is something about the way they have done it that make the movies stand out.
This was a great watch, a fun reprieve (for most of the movie) from the depressing premises of other ones. The lively jazz and wonderful yet fairly simple choreography (especially in the scenes featuring just Gosling and Stone) tied the whole "musical" together.
