DAN DA DAN: First Encounter 2024
Absolutely fantastic. As a fan of the source material I was hopeful that Science Saru would knock this out of the park. This left me with no questions on that. The first 3 episodes are shown including a great set of interviews about the process for the show. It was overall an excellent presentation, and this one will be worth streaming in October.

I ended up liking this one a lot. It gets a bit ambitious at times, but to me it fits the chaotic events with the tone and editing. Solid stuff, and covered a lot of cool topics. Doing a few new things while still holding to the past along the way.

What a vile film. The director of Martyrs made this movie, and that adds up pretty quickly. Unlike Martyrs though the violence in this movie doesn't have any meaning behind it. The movie also tells about 15 minutes worth of plot, in about an hour and a half which makes this movie needlessly convoluted. The acting and script never felt natural or meaningful.
