  It's fantastic that this film is entirely in te reo Māori, and I hope to see more. I just wish in this case it was in service of something more interesting than a simple revenge story.

  Mau rākau is a unique martial art that I'd like to learn in the future. The choreography is impressive, although the filming could have been clearer. They relied far too heavily on shaky cam, causing every battle sequence to mix together and feel quite repetitive.
