Was a "Video Nasty" in UK, but nothing nasty about it. Staggering level of boring. A couple nice shower scenes from one-and-done actress Laurel Munsen, a couple kills... and that's about it. And don't give me that "it's a slow burn" nonsense. Nope. Just boring.

A machine that turns people into nympho love slaves and reptilian soldiers - what's not to love? Plus, cameos from Leatherface and Brinke Stevens, and TJ Myers in lingerie for last half of film. Not much to complain about here... aside from no budget and no plot.

Basically a vehicle for Italian sex symbol Serena Grandi, and your standard love story - a couple falls in and out of love, only to discover they love each other after all. If you've heard the lyrics to The Piña Colada Song, then you know this story. What makes it stand out is (1) a truly impressive level of T&A, and (2) a startlingly un-PC story line. It could've been just your run-of-the-mill romance film, but it doesn't go soft…

Rod Steele 0014: You Only Live Until You Die (1997) AKA Balls of Thunder could have been your standard forgettable Skinamax throwaway; your typical late-night erotic thriller delivering a few sex scenes, and that's about it.

But, for whatever reason, they decided to go 'all in' with this one, providing not only the required skin, but genuine humor and well-paced entertainment. Truly one of the most pleasant surprises ever to grace late-night cable.
