I'm just not a huge fan of disaster/survival movies that get ultra depressing and distressing for most of the runtime.
I mean, I did enjoy the inspiring survival parts and the testament towards human strength, ingenuity, and will to never give up despite the odds. The rescue scenes and aftermath had me riding high and cheering for the survivors as well. That's really all I enjoyed though.
The super dark and depressing parts probably helped ramp those moments up, but…

Once again, I could find nothing wrong with this movie. Good story, good scares, good acting and a few great surprises. I went into this movie not having any idea what to expect and I barely read the description. I think that somehow made it even better since I didn't have many expectations one way or another. I also really liked the ending surprisingly. It just seemed to fit.
