    I thought the abusive relationship with Anxiety and Riley was a bit too cliche, especially when it became a battle between Joy and Anxiety.     Really beautifully portrayed. Although I could guess the sort of plot twist from a mile away, I think this film does a good job at portraying honest and innocent queer love. I love how with each perspective a comes a nuances to the characters. We get to really see everyone’s flaws. I think this is a very consumable movie that isn’t pushing too many questions but also allows for some genuine fear and anxiousness to rise in the viewer. This film is dramatic but in a way that still allows for relatability.

Despite the cinematic shots and creamy color palette, this film attempts to capture quotidian beauty through the monotonous life of a blue collar laborer in a way that is utterly boring and without critique. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy long quiet shots and the sentiment of making a film centered around the everyday, but I think there are ways to do so that at least follow a stronger narrative such as in Roma.
