All the Robert Pattinsons did a fantastic job. Mark Buffalo is the creepiest ever, a Nixon/Jerry Fallwell/Trump buffoon. The little tardigrade fellows were adorbs. Really quite entertaining, especially on the big screen.
This slow burn is made up of hundreds of long looks and pauses. Scenes stretch silence to the limit. And the desire, despair, and grief are overwhelming.
At times the silence reveals a lack of understanding, at others there's no need for words. Incredible performances by the entire ensemble. Excellent soundtrack. So, so good.
Surprising, fun, playing with time and expectations in a great way. If the beginning feels rough, stick it out -- you will be glad you did.
