    Underrated. Melancholy and wry, the overall mood is mixed. I believe this is due to being adapted from a book, the themes of which do not always convert well to the kind of mono-thematic, bold message film the 21st century has grown used to. It's subtle, heartbreaking, and yet-- hilarious.
