I think of this more of a comedy with a side of zombie apocalypse, than I would an actual horror movie. The performances are great and the characters are relatable. The on-screen chemistry between Simon Pegg and Nick Frost made it feel like these two were brothers. I like how the subtle gags throughout the movie like “You’ve got red on you” pop up unexpectedly. Great film!

A Quiet Place: Day One 2024
Didn’t have the same suspense as the first couple movies. I thought it was okay as far as a thriller/suspense movie, but not something I’d watch over again. I thought the performances were nice, but it felt like it could’ve done a lot better at delivering a good movie.

Hocus Pocus 1993
How can you not love Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker in this movie? One of the ultimate Halloween throw-back films. Throw this bad boy in if you’re wanting to get into the spooky mood for the fall season. I think this is an all-around great Halloween movie for children and adults alike.

Jumpin' Jack Flash 1986
This is an old movie back from the 80s that I fell in love with as a child and have probably seen it over a hundred times; thanks to my sister for having it on VHS. This is during the time where Whoopi Goldberg was in her heyday. She’s hysterical in this movie and her performance is top notch. Whenever I’m feeling down, this movie picks me right up. Worth the watch!
