  Great movie about life in the outskirts of Bergamo, Northern Italy during the late 1800s. For many the movie will be a bit of a slow burner, however it is ultimately an amazing realist depiction of the harsh realities of rural life in this time period.

  For me it's not a complete 5 of 5 only due to personal taste. However, for those who have the patience to watch these types of films; a masterpiece.
