“I’m scared of getting bitter.” The way Shirley and Cyril talk to each other is beautiful. Shirley is so nice to the people around her, without keeping her wit active to keep rude people in check. I didn’t understand 10% of the words but I don’t think that was a major loss. I was sobbing during the final scene with Cyril’s mom on the roof seeing the city.
