To reiterate what you already heard: Joaquin Phoenix's performance was astounding; he's so easily awkward and creepy, in a super realistic way. The casting for this role, in this plot, with this theme is perfect.
The storyline was captivating and most importantly, it was ambiguous and detail orientated. I cannot wait to watch this movie when there's an available pause button. There's so many little hints that could change the story if you're not paying attention. As an example: When…Translated from by -

I was terrified, dazed, and voguing throughout! The first half I thought: "This would be a cool movie to trip on" then immediately took back my own words as it became the LAST movie I'd ever consider being anything but sober watching. I mean this in the best possible way.
