Anna Karenina 2012
Anna Karenina is genuinely one of, if not the most brilliant piece of cinematic work i've ever seen in my life. Joe Wright did an amazing job at incorporating and elevating the whimsical aspects of russian literature. I feel that this is important as it doesn't strip the original book of the emotions that Tolstoy were trying to convey... And not to mention the use of a stage in setting the scenes! Amazing idea by Joe Wright in putting forth an analogy.
