It's beautiful narrative and sensitive approach to a possibly world threatening situation it's what makes this film so special.

One of the most remarkable things about the film is it's extremely well paced storytelling, it has the ability to capture the audience attention right from the start despite it's fairly basic plot, sadly it fails to mantain it till the very end. The practical special effects during the werewolf transformation scene are up there with John Carpenter's "The Thing", and the surreal dream sequences were fascinating. That being said, it's lacking in the horror department, it never really finds a balance between the comedy, I was never scared, and to be honest I wasn't expecting to be at any point of the film.

A satire placed in a dystopian kafkaesque reality that seems to portray human relationships much more sincerely that our own ever could. It's an exploration of how much of themselves people are willing to sacrifice in order to not be alone. It's funny, disturbing at times and bound to leave you an impression.

The film depicts people who are too fragile, sensitive and brilliant to function properly in the real world, so they are forced to create their own, what we see throughout the film is what happens when their reality is disturbed by an outsider.

This film could easily have become one of those indie movies that comes out every year and claims to be "quirky" and "fresh", and just ends up being unoriginal and pretentious. This isn't it, Frank was honest, beautifully acted and directed. It's dark but it's light at the same time, and very much enjoyable.
