  While the plot isn’t the best, a lot of the songs are rememberable and catchy and you can’t deny it’s phenomenon it had.
  Also we never see the actual play they were going to perform.

  Obviously couldn’t beat the original, but for a legacy sequel it’s not bad. Despite the several plots playing at once, you could tell the cast were having fun.

  Interesting take on the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale, wasn’t expecting stories in the story. Some parts are a little hokey but kinda forgive it. It’s worth alone just to see the practical effects and the late Angela Landsbury.
  Dare I say a hidden gem.

  More of this kinda thing please, I enjoyed this overall. Had a Scott Pilgrim/Edgar Wright kinda vibe. May have to check out the directors TV show. I was worried it might be too over the top fantasy but it got the balance right, even if I wasn’t a biggest fan of the whole ‘villain’ motive. I would say it seemed a little over the place tonally and took a little while to get going.
