  I can kind of see why people hate this movie??? But fortunately I am not one of those people and watching this perfectly timed to my friends’ airplane screen next to me was a phenomenal experience. Don’t know why kevin Costner does it for me but..... you can’t tell me the scene of him beating someone up while eating a nectarine isn’t hot

  
  EDIT: Also although I would be undoubtedly attracted to kevin Costner taking me to the movies to watch a Kurosawa film, how the hell did he get Whitney to go for that!?

  A film about family, culture, the ties that bind, the American dream, I could go on but it all felt so real and was quite moving. I love when a period piece feels relative today and I think they really pulled this off with the 1950s. I also spent the entire movie deciding whether to thirst over Marc Anthony, Tony Shaloub, or Stanley Tucci and I think the correct answer is actually Isabella Rossellini.
