Blow Out 1981
A good movie but definitely the weakest link in the “blow-up”, “the conversation”, “blow-out” chain. My biggest issue with it is the female leads sheer stupidity, at some point with any reasonable person, especially someone who was a con artist, your sense of survival or gut feeling would kick in. Travolta was brilliant and Lithgow as a bad guy unsettles me, so three stars.

In the Mood for Love 2000
I have never seen loneliness captured so intimately before. The crescendo of music at the end abruptly cut short in immediate silence mirrors the lovers lost relationship, we can not have what we were experiencing only moments ago. The end of the repeated score and noise leaves you in the same place as Mr. Chow. "He remembers those vanished years. As though looking through a dusty window pane, the past is something he could see, but not touch. And everything he sees is blurred and indistinct." You will never have the same experience seeing it again, that feeling has vanished it is just a memory now.
