Film about the reality of the American dream for post-war immigrants but also about the dichotomy of art and capitalism. Really held its run time well, an interval should be part of every film over 2.5 hrs.
But I have my issues with a lot of the film... why did they wait for the end to reveal a detail that would have made the rest of the film soooo much more entertaining to watch?

THIS IS CINEMA!!!
Incredibly ambitious film that touches on friendship, destiny, and colonialism.
Second best film of 2022.
VFX was crazy good at times but also pretty weak at others. Can see it getting some VFX noms just based off how ambitious it was.
Easily carried its 3 hour run time with a fast moving story that keeps you hooked with every major swing in the plot.
I need to watch more Indian cinema after this one.

Best looking film of 2024! Found myself constantly thinking that I was looking at the shot of the year. The woodland horse + carriage scene was elite.
Crazy performance from Lily-Rose Depp, one of the best of the year. Dafoe the GOAT. Great performances all round tbh.
But I also think there’s depth to Nosferatu. What it means to deal with shame, how love can heal you, the pain of unaddressed trauma.
Also major slay from the costume department, everyone was dripped out.
