  Elle, Timothée, Bob Dylan's music — I just didn’t need anything else. But I'm not a fan of Mangold; before this film, I felt like everything he touched strove to seem like something meaningful rather than being it. And while this movie is no exception, I expected the worst, which is probably why I enjoyed it so much.

  Mangold’s rare strength — flashes of emotional sensitivity — are at home here, as is the energy of a cliched Hollywood blockbuster.…
