  Very stupid but in a way I miss. I knew it was different from Michael Bay or Fast&Furious, despite being in the same genre and intended for the same 13 year old boys, before I knew who directed it. There is a sort of kindness and imagination in it. It sympathies with the grunt monsters even as it mutes them and terrorists them.

  I love obits and these are some very sweet people. But there is no reason to rush this shit out in 7 hours and the paper's sense of Relevance and Importance is fundamentally miscalibrated because based on pandering. The dead deserve better

  Very difficult to score because you must watch it, and not just for prurient and schadenfreude reasons, but for a masterclass in directorial overcontrol
