    Children of Men is one of those sci-fi movies that easily gets overlooked, but at the same time stands out amongst its contemporaries. The reason might be because it is a more grounded sci-fi; trading hollywood spectacle for visceral realism.

    Minority Report is based on a short story from renowned sci-fi author Philip K. Dick (Blade Runner, Total Recall), directed by legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise in his prime. This unique combination makes for an amazing sci-fi classic!

    Sure, some of the CGI looks outdated and the movie overstays its welcome with a runtime well over two hours, but those are minor and forgivable flaws considering the amazing story, solid performances, great action and inspiring science fiction.…

    One of the most beautifully shot movies I have ever seen. Iceland's vast and breathtaking emptiness is captured perfectly. The cinematography here is absolutely stunning.

    Unfortunately, the plot is paper thin and the pacing is very slow. Looking at the pretty pictures and the historic realism of the movie did make up alot for what would otherwise be a tedious experience.

    Also I love the dog (and the horses).

    Bottoms is when you take Fight Club and mid-2000's comedies like Superbad and genderswap them. In a good way.

    You'll recognize well-known teen comedy tropes like teens wanting to get laid, lying to their crushes to gaslight them into hanging out with them, it coming out for some third act drama to be resolved in the final action scene where our main teens get the girls they want. Sounds extremely familiar? That's because it is.

    Bottoms doesn't reinvent the teen…
