  There is so much respect and love for the source material. All of the conversations I had with my dad about the tech of Dune as a kid. This is what I saw in my head.

  If catharsis is the sudden overwhelming release of emotion in a positive outcome, this movie is the absolute opposite. So funny to watch not because of the poor acting, but the ketamine-driven dialogue and whiplash inducing jump-cuts. I still have zero clue what this movie is about.
