Dinner In America is one my favorite films to come out this decade. It’s not just a coming of age romance movie, it’s a commentary on social norms and finding true love and yourself in unlikely places. Great representation of the punk scene, and one of the best portrayals of small town michigan to date. The greasy ”punk” boyfriend is a tad homophobic though.
