I loved Roma. I love Alfonso Cuarón and his distinct directing style. I found it really impressive how the film would often incorporate stills and slow close ups of seemingly random things like the planes, the egg being cracked with the spoon, the movie screen in the theater, and the like minute long scene with the slot cars. Heaven's Gate 1980
I thought Heaven’s Gate was alright. The directing was pretty solid, with some good long takes, especially in the beginning, that I really liked. I think the best-directed scene was when he stops that family from being robbed outside of the gun store.
