  I really wanted to like this movie, but I don’t.  Although the animation is amazing, I found the story in which I was interested (what I thought was the main story) fade away into the background and was replaced by a less interesting story.  It seems as if this movie were written with one team of people and then some other team came in and took over halfway through the film.

  This film gives us a sweeping tale of child refugees trying to get to safety.  The story is told via a beautiful stop motion style animation and moving oil paintings.

  The animation and artwork is quite expressive.  The voice acting is fantastic.
