  It feels like Yi Yi is such a focused piece of work, every transition is fluid, every member of the family is detailed by their actions, their disposition and personality, and the turmoil around them all started by the symbolic loss of the Matriarch of the family as she falls into a coma. Every story is interwoven into the family dynamic. Even when the subplots seem to deviate completely, their intent & purpose becomes more clear as the movie goes on.…

  this movie is so tragic and the way all the characters lives are intertwined from the start makes this a really fascinating movie to watch come and go... ending was somber but to see the mc come so far after everything he's been through and his life being left of words said by the narrator, you can only hope for the best, great cinematography too.
