The Story
Now, critics were harsh towards this movie for having an overly simplistic plot, yet Avatar 2 had an overly simplistic story and they liked that movie. Now the critics were right in saying that the plot of this movie is pretty basic, but in this situation, it works because a simple story fits with the spirit of the Mario games as they mostly had basic plots themselves. a Mario movie doesn’t need to be overly nuanced.
