alright in fairness i watched this on an 11 hour flight. it feels like it belongs there. I really don't like Nolan's overly fussy plotting and general aversion to mixing the sound properly (definitely a skill issue - ive heard dialogue drowned under big bass farts in so many of his films). Only David Bowie cameo where youre thinking "mid"

Anatomy of a Fall 2023
I can't put my finger on exactly when this film transitions from a precisely-written courtroom drama to a heart-wrenching study in how childhood relationships survive the experience of disillusionment but its probably around the point I started crying.
The scene with the dummy is worthy of an abrupt Cape Fear laugh and none of the stone faced pensioners who were in that screen with me can say otherwise
