After rewatching this, I can confidently say this is my 2025 Best Picture, and the fact that The Academy didn’t even nominate it tells us everything we need to know about how unserious they are.

Sean Baker claims he wanted to break stereotypes, but the film does the exact opposite; the characters are reduced to nothing more than their suffering.
