  The Great Dictator 1940

  Truly this film is Chaplin’s magnum opus as it’s written directed and acted perfectly not to mention it’s very experimental with its use of actors playing multiple characters and its constant use of breaking the fourth wall while the editing and cinematography aren’t perfect Chaplin’s acting  and ending monologue are rightfully regarding as one of the greatest in film history just still baffled at the scope of the film’s social commentary for the period

  Had high expectations for this one from Altman but unfortunately this western drags on even with its interesting themes and different narrative structure and well written characters the editing and cinematography are lackluster most of the time along with poor sound quality and unmemorable acting performances

  Solid film which tells a short but interesting story but I would’ve rather the film be longer and the dialogue not rushed besides that Patel and Cumberbatch were good and Anderson’s set design and shot selection definitely fit the vibe of the story
