  It was decent, a little bit slow at times, a little bit cold feeling maybe (though it seems intentional), but the twist was twisty and the characters were interesting and flawed.

  The average gorilla weighs somewhere around 120kg. A horse is able to carry 15-20% of its body weight at a maximum. So to carry a 120kg gorilla the horse needs to weigh at least 650kg. The average horse weighs about 500kg. Therefore, to gallop through snow carrying a gorilla plus another ape, those horses must be absolutely massive.

  When someone says “hey let’s watch Madagascar 2, it’s better than the first one”, don’t believe them. It’s not. David Schwimmer really is the perfect voice actor for Melman tho.

  “Obviously people are going to think I’m a showboat and a little bit of a prick, but then I realised… That’s me”

  The cutaway of the ship is so cool, vibes are great, the music is even better (seriously the Portuguese covers of David Bowie songs are fantastic), the characters are endearing enough. I think I might enjoy films with main characters that are a little bit unlikeable.

  Anyway good stuff, a little bit slow at times, but the vibes are good, and the humour is slightly absurd in a mostly good way.
