clearly where wes discovered his love of symmetry, incredible blocking across the whole film. a fun, self contained story about brotherhood and grief, just doesn’t hit all the marks that most of wes anderson’s later work does for me. this did make me miss my brother a lot, though.

eh. i feel like vanessa was completely unnecessary and also they changed the lore up from the games which i didn’t love but the game lore is fucking confusing already so whatever. the only thing saving it from a super low rating is the incredible animatronics, and the matpat cameo.
