  as a teen i never really gave jackie chan his due, cause i thought he was Silly

  but, like, he did all those stunts for real! and all the fights! in an interview i watched recently he pointed out many western action movies cut at the moment of a strike, because the fights are faked. it's ruined a lot of films for me, but its also made me appreciate the craft in martial arts movies a whole lot more
