  I was watching the episode “Lonely Souls” when I saw the news about David’s passing. The end of the episode felt extra haunting as the late Julee Cruise sings into the credits:

  Love, don’t go away
  Come back this way
  Come back and stay forever
  And ever

  I like to believe they’re both in the white lodge with Angelo Badalamenti and Harry Dean Stanton and Jack Nance smoking cigarettes and drinking endless cups of (damn fine) coffee.
