What's funny is that this whole film is a parody of the kind of popstar tour documentary/concert film that there were several of in the 10s and are completely forgotten now, and this film has outlived all of them in reputation. Could easily forget that's what its meant to be. Without that context its easy to criticise the film for its lack of bite in satirising this period in popular music- because its lampooning something else entirely, related but different.
