  all i have to say is that i am very much disappointed. how could u make a movie titled “anora” and basically explained little to nothing about anora herself throughout the movie? a huge chunk of the movie was just basically “im going to stay with ivan” “no ure going to get ur marriage annulled” “we need to go and find him” in the most repetitive, tedious, hollow way ever i had to fast forward so much through the movie.…

  some of my thoughts while watching:
  - what kind of apocalyptic flood is that
  - the birds are genuinely really scary 
  - that whale is cool as hell
  - the dogs (except the labrador) arent shit
  - WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BIRD
  - a cat, a dog, a capybara, a lemur, and a bird… this combo feels like when a teacher assembles a group for a project using spin the wheel but that group somehow works

  “this sister thing is so strange. the envy and jealousy can be so strong. yet when my sisters are unhappy in the end, it’s unbearable.”

  my favorite quote of the series <3 each member of the takezawa family goes through something that they dont tell other family members about. however, once the other family members find out, they might bicker and argue and fight, but they all tried to find a way to help each other out and mend their relationship again. its messy, its real, its heartwarming… very much accurate to actual family dynamics out there.
