Went in blind having not seen anything about it. At first thought it was a Candle Cove kind of thing they were doing, then picked up early on it was about transgender metaphors and parallels. If I could give this zero stars I would. Fuck this movie. A director gets a good cinematographer and thinks his lingering monotonous shots are artsy but he has his own head up his ass thinking he’s putting his own spin on the folk horror genre when he’s just jerking his own ego. Plodding, slow and completely devoid of scares or anything coming close to suspense. Wish I had an actual honeydew to throw at the creator of this movie.
