I struggle to rate movies like this sometimes. At a certain level it’s so basic, so small, and so inconsequential. But i loved every second of it. It’s well acted, written, shot, thought out, and I was genuinely moved by it in so many ways. I feel like i shouldn’t give it five stars for some reason but i can’t really think why

Gladiator II 2024
Genuinely an extremely conflicting movie for me.
To preface, the first Gladiator is one of my favourite movies of all time, and any sequel is bound to face comparison to the original most likely to its detriment.
Starting with positives, Gladiator 2 had a lot of them! Denzel was truly phenomenal, pedro pascal was great, as were the Twin Emperors. The fight scenes were epic and the general plot was interesting.
