As a fan of SpongeBob SquarePants, I deeply appreciate The SpongeBob Movie, which stands as both a true classic and a fantastic adaptation of a beloved children’s cartoon. The filmmakers clearly intended this film to capitalize on The Grinch, released three years earlier, as another Dr. Seuss property; however, while The Grinch, despite its flaws, kept some charm, this film completely lacks that same magic.

This film isn't your typical slasher film. It has a lot of dark elements and themes to it and barely anything in the realms of pleasantness. It has decent kills but not a lot of room to breathe in between kills. The ending might freak people out but overall is worth a watch at least once.
