The last time I watched this movie in full was probably nearly 20 years ago, so it's almost like I watched it for the first time again (though "What Dreams are Made of" has never left my brain since). I've been meaning to rewatch this ever since I visited Italy 3 years ago but I only got around to actually doing it now that I'm going through a manic Hilary Duff revival phase. It's a goofy teen movie with a ridiculous, over-the-top plot and a few awkward, very poorly-aged sexual jokes thrown in the middle for good measure, but it was a fun watch for what it's worth. Besides, like most people, I only watched this for Namie Amuro and got exactly what I wanted - Namie being cunty and wearing cute outfits! (Feel like pure shit just want her back...)

Basically a conjunction of 5 different shorts without much in common between them but still an interesting watch. I love that the film uses something so mundane and temporary like a taxi ride as a storytelling mechanism and it somehow works really well! LA and NY are so cute and comforting, the European stories are much colder and almost distressing.
