    Gladiator II

    ★★★

Well, this will be long so if you’re one of the few people who’ll read this, you have my gratitude.

Gladiator II is both a disappointment and a decent movie. Everything it does right is numbed down by something that doesn’t live up to the standards of the 2000’s masterpiece.
I’ll go in depth about what I like, what I don’t like and I won’t spoil anything.

Gladiator II is, above all, a love letter to the first movie. Ridley Scott…

Dune: Part Two is simply excellent. It’s one of those epics that I really think it deserves to be experienced in a movie theater because this is as epic as it can get.

In Dune: Part One, Denis Villeneuve expertly introduced this extremely interesting universe and set up the high stakes for Dune: Part Two. And that’s about what I have to say. I didn’t love it by any means because, in my…

    Back to Black

    ★★½

Back to Black and Bob Marley: One Love are very similar movies and, both of them, extremely mixed experiences. The main performances are definitely the highlight: Marisa Abela’s performance is superb as the legendary Amy Winehouse - she looks like her, sounds like her and completely nails the vibe.

The biggest compliment I can give to Back to Black is that Marisa Abela’s  performance honors Amy Winehouse’s legacy.

The screenplay, however, stays superficial and lacks depth. Familiar? Yes. Bob Marley: One…
