Quién hubiera creído que los presos condenados a perpetua hablan de esperanza y leen libros?
Justamente eso es lo interesante acá, en mostrar este costado más humano y sensible poca veces mencionado y tan importante. Cómo la justicia e injusticia que sucede durante todos esos años mientras cumplen su condena va corrompiendo su mente y su forma de ser, quitándoles hasta lo que no tienen y llevándolo hasta un límite. Ese que separa entre vivir o morir.
Me gustó esta forma de mostrar la cárcel de una forma diferente, más allá de lo que solemos ver (y que también me gusta) de oscuridad criminal y carcelaria.

Está muy buena. Gran dupla Alterio-Sbaraglia. Los momentos entre ellos, camuflados como introspecciones/ reflexiones/ lecciones de vida, son lo que más enriquecen aunque también hay algunas pequeñas escenas que también suman mucho. Lo que no me aporta demasiado es el papel de la pibita rebelde en el sobre la segunda mitad. Me pareció forzada.
Puede ser que al principio sea un poco lenta y muy cortada con tomas cortas, pero mete varias situaciones en el trayecto que hacen que siempre se mantenga activa. Y con ese final levanta muchísimo.

Lost in Translation 2003
Too slow for what it tries to convey, especially considering that it neither contributes to the story nor the character development.
Although the initial idea wasn’t bad, it never digs into the moments between the protagonists, and their interaction is minimal. At times, it even feels forced. The lack of meaningful dialogue makes their connection seem unconvincing, except for Scarlett’s acting and expressions, which are the only elements that generate tension and attraction.

A film that starts off strong and promises a lot, but ultimately falls short.
It's interesting to see life from the perspective of a teenager with such a distinctive personality. It portrays typical situations of that age (studies, first crushes, aspirations, fears, family, finances) and is filled with details and insights that genuinely add authenticity. However, despite opening up multiple storylines with the protagonist and other characters, none of these are developed in depth.
I understand that for a teenager looking forward to "live through something," this is quite usual. But for the story and the film, it makes them seem flat and "vanilla."
