i think the concept could’ve been better if the writing focused more on either the attachment styles faced by the main characters or their unwillingness to change. there’s so much not seen in their memories, and in the tidbits that are shown the relationship doesn’t look happy. it looks toxic and unhealthy, yet it feels like we’re supposed to be cheering for it in the end.
