I’ve had to mull this over for a little while, and whilst I absolutely appreciate the visual beauty and acting involved, I’m just not sure as a film it’s for me. The more I think about it the more I think I enjoyed it, but would be a stretch to say that I truly loved it in any way.

My overwhelming feeling is frustration. Its blindingly obvious that Disney and the gang had no real plan with this whole sequel saga...the tone varies from film to film, the messages of family and heritage contradict each other, theres just no fucking cohesion. This ultimately leaves this film doing a whistle stop tour of fan service central completely negating not only the other sequels but whole swathes of the original and prequel series too. And don't even ask me about the last line, coz its facking BULLSHIT.

I’ll kick this off by saying I love me a Tarantino, Django and Inglorious Basterds are routinely mentioned as my favorite films...so naturally it kinda goes without saying that I properly enjoyed this. If i’m being critical the middle third does seem to drag quite a bit, but short periods of brilliance does stop it from becoming lost altogther and couple that with everything else Tarantino is famous for (including his questionable love for feet) it does end up being a pretty fucking good film, and I’m more than satisfied with that.
