  The movie thinks it's much smarter than it actually is. Granted, it has two or three good moments, but, even knowing nothing about the movie, it is quite obvious to figure out the first twist, as the dialogue is as subtle as a mace to the face.   Rather uneventful and featuring two despicable main characters played by outstanding actors.
  It's fine, I guess - beautifully shot and good performances but also frustrating and repetitive in execution. Doesn't reach absurd levels of egotistical, obnoxious and self-congratulatory pseudointellectual filth that Nolan puts out every time.
