Perfect Days 2023
Watched Perfect Days on a flight back from Japan. Cried the whole way through. I found myself nodding and grinning in agreement with Hirayama, though minimal words were said. Well, I guess that’s why I adored this film, it was so relatable. The loneliness he feels, the flashes of company he finds in everyday life and seeking happiness in routine and nature is everything I felt and did in Japan. But you can never truly be lonely with good books and music.
