    The Disaster Artist

    ½

Some films have a lot to say, some films have little to none to say. I understand the storyline, but I don't have to appreciate it. I would like to know where Tommy Wiseau's money came from. (Official rating: 4.7)

    The Tragedy of Macbeth

    ★★★

Many will consider my rating is too low, which is very fair, but The Tragedy of Macbeth is simply a storyline that doesn't carry much appeal to me. Joel Coen's attempt at recreating the story of Macbeth was an audacious attempt that should be celebrated. The film's cinematography was some of the best I've ever seen across the board, providing still shots that are worth a thousand words to each their own. Overall, the performances by each actor and actress were superb, most notably Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand. (Overall rating: 7)

    Go

    ★★★★½

I felt as if I were watching a Tarantino directed film during my viewing of Doug Liman's Go, in terms of pacing, storytelling, and prolonged dialogue amongst the characters. Seeing this film in the year 2022 carried significance as this film's cast, considerably young in terms of age and career, would be considered star-studded today. I enjoyed the structure of Go, a weekend of chaos told from the viewpoints of three different affiliates within the film.

  • Lamb

    Lamb

    ★★★

I had the feeling that something was severely wrong from the beginning of the film, which remained constant throughout its' entirety. Lamb presented beautiful scenery courtesy of the Icelandic landscapes, accompanied by an eerie presence of forces that were absent on the screen. A24 has truly done a stellar job amongst the horror genre within their filmography. Their films present artsy and boundary pushing narratives that capture the attention of the audience instantly, while simultaneously testing their viewing limits. I consider Lamb to land within the better half of films A24 has released since the studio's founding in 2012. (Official rating: 7.3)
