Mamma Mia! 2008
Usually not a fan of musicals but this one starts off strong, fun and playfully self-aware. However the plot takes a turn for the worse around the third act. It’s quite clear the writers did not know where to take the plot. Feels sloppy and rushed.

The Batman 2022
Gorgeous cinematography, Pattinson’s acting is great, but these highest points do not balance out the boring story that fails to hit its mark. Several times throughout the story it feels like it should reach its climax, only for it to go into a lull and fall flat on its ass. It seems like the writers did not sufficiently work out what point they wanted to have come across through the silver screen and instead it comes across as all over the place; unfocused.
